Tournament Details

AFA Founders Cup 2026

September 27, 2026 • Inspire Courts

6v6 Adult Competition

5 field players and 1 goalkeeper. All players must be 18 or older.

30-Minute Matches

Continuous running clock, no halftime, and unlimited substitutions.

3 Guaranteed Games

16 teams split into 4 groups of 4, with every team playing each group opponent once.

Championship Reward

The champion wins the Founders Cup trophy plus a $1,000 cash prize.

Tournament Format

Group Stage to Championship.

The top two teams from each group advance to the 8-team knockout bracket.

Group Stage

4 groups of 4 teams. Win = 3 points, draw = 1 point, loss = 0 points.

Knockout Stage

Eight teams advance to the quarterfinals, followed by semifinals and the Founders Cup Final.

Championship

The final two teams compete for the $1,000 cash prize and Founders Cup trophy.

Registration

Two ways to compete.

Register a Team $450 Early Bird for the first 8 teams or through September 6. Standard entry is $500.
Join as a Free Agent Apply at no cost. If placed on an AFA Free Agent team, entry is $60 per player.
18+ Only All tournament participants must be at least 18 years old.
Roster Lock Final team rosters lock 48 hours before tournament kickoff.

Founders Cup Registration

The inaugural AFA Founders Cup is limited to 16 teams. Complete the team registration below, then continue to payment to secure your place.

$450 Early Bird — Currently Active First 8 teams or through September 6, whichever comes first. After Early Bird closes, registration moves to $500.
$500 Standard Entry 3 guaranteed 30-minute matches • 6v6 • $1,000 cash prize + Founders Cup trophy.

Apply as an individual player for the inaugural AFA Founders Cup. AFA will use the player pool to build or complete teams when spots are available.

$60 Player Fee You only pay if AFA places you on a Founders Cup team.

No Sliding

Field players may not slide. Goalkeepers may slide only inside their own goalkeeper box.

02

Goalkeeper Distribution

Any ball distributed by the goalkeeper's hands must touch the floor or another player before crossing halfway.

03

Yellow Cards

The team plays one player short for up to 4 minutes. If the opposing team scores with the advantage, the penalty ends.

04

Red Cards

The player is ejected and the team plays one player short for the remainder of the match.
